Tap Into Disney
These holidays Center Stage Performing Arts put together a theatrical show celebrating the sparkling magical realm of Walt Disney here in Aguada, PR. A truly hard-to-adapt and difficult-to-pull journey where at the end we were enchanted with performances like Tron, Marry Poppins, Tarzan, Jungle Book, Little Mermaid, Lion King just to name a few. But the most memorable of them all was Aladdin, where I debuted as a Tap Dancer. Hehe! Wait, what? Uh-huh, in front of a packed audience. Nerve-wracking! But it went smooth… after all. Uff!!
At first, I didn’t want to perform in the show because of my newbie skills; I only wanted to rehearsal more about tap dance and its twisty winding moves, but not at a stage level. But the directors and some of the fathers of the academy were like, “No way. You’re dancing! Period.”
“Aaahh…Ok. I’ll give it a try.” And that’s how my tap performances tale began at a stage level.
